Why our AI is allowed to stay quiet on slow weeks
Most competitive intelligence tools manufacture filler when nothing happened. The recommender's permission to be silent is a feature, not a bug.

Plain rules for using bitsbeacon.

Short version: pay your bill, do not resell our briefs, do not use the product for anything illegal, and we will keep shipping it. If anything here matters to you legally, email us before you sign up.

Last updated 3 June 2026.

What bitsbeacon is

Bitsbeacon is a continuous intelligence product. You give us a brand and a few competitors. We watch the public web for them and send you a brief on a regular schedule. The brief is generated by a mix of automated research and a language model. We review the templates and prompts but we do not hand check every claim before it lands in your inbox.

Your account

Today the product is in a preview phase. You sign in with a one time link sent to your email. There are no passwords. One account is one email address. Do not share your sign in link with people outside your team.

Paying, cancelling, refunds

Paid plans run from $29 to $99 per month, billed through Stripe. You can cancel inside the product at any time. When you cancel, the plan runs until the end of the current billing period and then stops. If you cancel within seven days of your first payment, email us and we will refund it in full, no questions. Outside that window, refunds are case by case. Email us, we will work it out.

Acceptable use

You can use bitsbeacon to research any brand whose public information is fair game to read. You cannot use it to:

  • research private individuals (the product is about brands and companies, not people)
  • scrape sources you have agreed in writing not to scrape
  • build a competing intelligence product on top of our briefs
  • resell the brief to a third party as if it were your own work

We can refuse to onboard a brand if it does business in a sector we will not serve (for example, weapons sold to consumers, surveillance ware sold to non state buyers, gambling targeted at minors). If we refuse, we refund you in full.

Reports and ownership

You own the brief we generate for you. You can quote it in internal documents, share it with colleagues, paste it into a slide deck, or feed it into another tool. You cannot publish a brief in full on a public website or sell it. We keep the right to use the underlying research notes to improve the product.

Public web sources

Briefs link back to the public pages we read. The opinion and synthesis are ours. The source material belongs to whoever wrote it. If you act on a claim in a brief, follow the source link first.

No warranty

The brief is a research aid, not advice. It is generated by software. We work hard to make it accurate but we cannot promise every claim is right. Do not make a major business decision purely on the basis of a brief without checking the source links and using your own judgement. We are not liable for losses caused by acting on a finding.

Uptime

We do our best to keep the site up. We do not promise a specific uptime number. If the site is down when your scheduled brief was due, we send the brief as soon as the site is back.

Changes to these terms

If we change anything on this page in a way that affects pricing, your data, or what you can do with a brief, we will email everyone with an active account at least fourteen days before the change takes effect. Small fixes (typos, link rot) do not get a notice.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using bitsbeacon at any time. We can end your account if you break the acceptable use rules above, or if a payment fails and stays failed for thirty days. If we end your account for non payment we keep your data on file for thirty more days in case you come back, then delete it. If you ask us to delete sooner, we do.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, email alex@bitsbeacon.com first. We have not had a dispute escalate beyond a conversation yet. We will keep trying to keep it that way.

Questions

Email alex@bitsbeacon.com. A person reads every message.
